About the Job
This maternity cover role sits at the heart of the finance function and supports the Finance Manager and wider UK and international teams with the provision of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. This is a hands-on role offering variety and the opportunity to add real value across the business.
Duties will include:
1. Leading the month-end close and production of management accounts with variance analysis
2. Preparing profit & loss, balance sheet, working capital, and cashflow reporting
3. Producing monthly store-level P&Ls and providing commentary
4. Delivering intercompany confirmations and quarterly order intake forecasts
5. Updating general accruals, prepayments, provisions, and bad debt schedules
6. Supporting the AP team in invoice coding and offering broader AR/AP assistance as needed
7. Producing sales reports and order intake reports for KPI tracking
8. Liaising with auditors and assisting with documentation and responses
9. Contributing to ad hoc projects and supporting strategic financial insight
About the Successful Applicant
You’ll be a part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with at least two years of experience in a similar financial role. Strong Excel skills and an analytical mindset are essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both UK and international teams.
