The Mission Ready Training Centre (MRTC) is part of the Army Collective Training Group and is responsible for assuring the directed training of both individual soldiers and formed units deploying on Operations within the UK and worldwide. After being closed for several years, Bassingbourn Barracks is undergoing a complete modernisation to accommodate MRTC and numerous smaller lodger units. The MRTC is a mix of Army personnel (both Regular and Reserve) and Civil Servants. Your role as a Mobilisation & HR JPA Support Officer will be to support the J1 Personnel Department in ensuring all reserve personnel are mobilised and demobilised in accordance with legislation and policy, in order to support MRTC in completing its mission. This post is advertised at 37 hours per week. This post may involve on occasions working outside of the core hours, so a degree of flexibility is required. Overtime pay or time off in lieu will be granted. Job Description: The Mobilisation & HR JPA Support Officers are essential roles within the MRTC. Working in a team of approximately 16, you will be primarily responsible for the mobilisation and demobilisation of Reservists, as well as advising personnel on the completion of relevant documentation. You will also be responsible for the provision of support to MRTC Permanent Staff. Key responsibilities: Joint Personnel Administration (JPA) ORACLE based HR system, input of occurrences for mobilisation and demobilisation - full training on the JPA system will be provided. Process applications for passports, MoD identity cards (FMOD90), ID Discs, and other administrative applications. Mounting and dismounting of Full Time Reserve Service personnel. Receipt and dispatch of unit mail. Task Tracker - Maintain the tracker spreadsheets, identify training gaps, review flight bookings prior to individuals deploying to an Operational theatre.
