Role Purpose: The Senior Engineering Surveyor is responsible for delivering accurate site measurements, setting out works, and supporting construction teams with technical expertise. The role ensures projects are executed correctly, efficiently, and in line with UK construction standards. Precision, strong technical capability, and a solid understanding of surveying processes are essential. Key Responsibilities: Lead, support, and develop Junior Engineers, while collaborating with wider technical teams. Manage technical elements of projects from design interpretation through to maintaining accurate progress and as-built records. Communicate project information clearly to site teams to ensure consistent best practice. Maintain dimensional accuracy across all active sites. Work closely with planning and commercial teams to support effective project delivery. Skills & Qualifications: Valid CSCS card or equivalent accreditation. Proven experience as an engineering surveyor within the construction industry. Strong competency in setting out, surveying techniques, and use of modern instruments. Proficiency with 3D modelling software, AutoCAD, GPS equipment, and related tools. High numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications confidently. Good understanding of UK health and safety requirements. Desirable: Degree or diploma in civil engineering, surveying, or a related discipline. Membership of relevant professional bodies. Experience with machine control systems.
