Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Quality Manufacturing (SCQM) Engineer to join our team in Broughton to support Transfer of Work activities and New Product Introduction (NPI) within a high‑performance manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, quality‑driven setting and can confidently manage cross‑functional coordination, risk assessments, and quality governance throughout the industrialisation process.

* On Site: 3x on site
* Clearance: Not required
* Experience Level: Mid - Senior
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and coordinate Transfer of Work (ToW) activities, ensuring all quality requirements are met throughout the transition.
* Provide NPI quality support, including readiness reviews, risk identification, and qualification activities.
* Conduct quality assessments, gap analyses, and compliance checks against internal and regulatory standards.
* Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain quality teams to maintain alignment across all industrialisation phases.
* Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as plans, risk logs, verification records, and reports.
* Monitor supplier performance and assist with issue resolution when required.
* Ensure all activities follow established quality processes and continuous improvement practices.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
* Strong background in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
* Experience supporting Transfer of Work, industrial transitions, or production ramp‑ups.
* Solid understanding of NPI processes, including risk management and qualification steps.
* Ability to interpret technical documentation, quality standards, and engineering requirements.
* Confident working cross‑functionally and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
* Willingness to work onsite in Broughton for 3 days per week.
Required Qualifications:
* A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, or similar methodologies.
* Experience supporting supply chain quality or supplier development activities.
* Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Understanding of production readiness reviews, maturity gates, or industrialisation frameworks.
* Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining strong alignment with wider teams.
