Overview
The overall purpose of a hospitality manager is to ensure the seamless execution of exceptional guest experiences during events and functions hosted at the venue. Responsible for overseeing the various aspects of hospitality, the manager coordinates and optimises services to meet and exceed guest expectations, including managing catering and dining services, ensuring high-quality food and beverage offerings, and maintaining the overall ambiance of hospitality areas. The manager collaborates with diverse teams to guarantee that all aspects of hospitality align with Levy standards and the specific requirements of each event. They focus on customer satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and continuously seek ways to enhance the guest experience. This role acts as a crucial link between the venue and its patrons, contributing to the positive reputation and success of the events hosted at this venue. Responsibilities
* Collaborate with event planners, organisers, and internal teams to understand the specific requirements and expectations for each event.
* Develop comprehensive hospitality plans, ensuring seamless integration with overall event logistics.
* Coordinate with departments including catering, facilities, and audio-visual teams to guarantee a cohesive and well-executed event.
* Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of hospitality staff, including catering personnel, servers, and support staff.
* Conduct regular team meetings to communicate event details, expectations, and provide training, ensuring coverage for CARE requirements in all team meetings.
* Foster a positive, collaborative work environment with a customer-centric mindset.
* Oversee all catering, ensuring high-quality food and beverage offerings that align with guest preferences and dietary requirements.
* Implement efficient inventory management processes to minimise waste and control costs.
* Enhance the guest experience with top-tier service and attention to detail, addressing feedback and concerns promptly.
* Implement creative solutions to personalise and elevate the hospitality experience for different events.
* Develop and manage budgets for hospitality services, including catering, staffing, and event-specific requirements; monitor expenses and provide regular financial reports.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards; develop protocols for a safe, hygienic environment and adapt to changing regulations.
* Utilise hospitality management software and tools for planning, coordination, and tracking; implement tech solutions for registration and feedback collection.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners; act as the main point of contact for hospitality inquiries.
* Stay updated on industry trends and innovations; lead post-event debriefs to identify improvements and implement changes.
* Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing event dynamics and manage high-pressure situations with contingency plans.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or events industry, including large-scale event management and guest experiences.
* Background in overseeing catering operations, menu planning, food quality control, and beverage service.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, with negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong leadership to recruit, train, and develop staff and foster a positive team environment.
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities; proficiency in project management.
* Customer-centric mindset; proactive in anticipating and meeting guest needs.
* Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
