HMN spans London, Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh, servicing clients through our agencies including Havas Media, Havas Market, Arena Media and Ledger Bennett. This role is based in London, but has a remit that spans the full HMN, so there will be a significant remit across our Havas Village in Kings Cross.

ABOUT OUR DIGITAL ACTIVATION TEAM:
Our digital team spans affiliates, paid search, paid social, programmatic, CRO, commerce, as well as SEO. Through organic growth and M&A, we’ve built a scaled capability totalling 250+ specialists.

We’ve set the pathway to bring together these specialist teams across London, Leeds, and Manchester by “Empowering Digital Excellence Together”, delivering on 3 core focus areas:

THE ROLE:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced specialist with great publisher knowledge, connections in the affiliate community, and client facing skills to manage a portfolio of internationally recognised brands.

You’ll be responsible for delivering best in class strategy and activation across all of our affiliate services. You will be supported by an AM and an AE but will be expected to build relationships with key client stakeholders, to lead on annual strategy, meet performance targets, as well as handle forecasting, partner management and reporting.

Ultimately, you will need to ensure client satisfaction remains high to ensure minimal churn, while having a strong growth agenda to drive increased revenue both within the Affiliate channel and beyond.

Extensive affiliate experience is required, ideally within an agency environment but this isn’t essential. We have ambitious growth targets for affiliates so you will have the autonomy and support to really make this role your own and to build out the team under you. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive go-getter who wants to take the next stage in their Affiliate career.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

Lead on the development of future facing and innovative affiliate strategy for your client set.

Develop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with relevant senior clients through leading development plans, strategy, reporting, and always-on campaign management.

Work alongside client teams to ensure the acquisition channel delivers integrated solutions, which place innovation and best practice at the heart of all recommendations.

In coordination with the HOP and BD, identify opportunities for organic growth across your clients.

Senior point of contact for clients, leading on strategy and managing client expectations.

Client facing presentations on strategy, campaign recommendations and subsequent results.

Develop and maintain development plans, roadmaps, media plans across all affiliate channels.

Be a ‘thought leader’, both within the team, the agency and across the industry. Taking a vocal point of view on industry issues and driving our positioning. This includes regularly presenting in team monthly meetings on Knowledge Shares for examples of great work or discussing Industry News.

Help to drive alignment into the wider HMN culture and ways of working for all activation specialists under your remit – ensuring you balance the benefit of being part of a wider activation community with deep immersion into Arena community.

Deliver improvements in acquisition operations, client delivery and affiliate product.

Drive acquisition product & service development for the business and take an active role in collaboratively driving overall product development.

Work closely with partners to identify new opportunities, upskill the team and drive visibility.

Design innovative test-and-learn programs that deliver on the over-arching client strategy.

Drive best practice through the team - specifically improving the quality of campaign delivery, innovation and automation.

Complete and manage the forecast/ plan of monthly budgets in-line with client objectives.

Work closely with other Havas teams to enhance cross-channel integration, in terms of strategy, execution and measurement while also ensuring consistent approach for clients.

Contribute to new business prospecting and business development meetings for HMN for affiliates.

Create high quality case studies to represent your best activation work, as well as entering (and winning!) industry awards.

Independently manage personal development plans for all direct reports.

Develop affiliate expertise, tech knowledge and all-round skill set of all your direct reports.

Overseeing accurate and timely finance administration and budgeting.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

At least 4-5 years’ experience within an Affiliate remit, ideally within an agency environment.

Proven experience of working with enterprise level clients and large budgets.

Excellent knowledge/experience of acquisition channels, including affiliates, email, lead generation, app download activity and strategy.

Excellent knowledge of industry tools and latest technologies.

Must be able to communicate well, interpret Affiliate to clients and manage client expectations.

Passion for, and a wide understanding of, all aspects of digital media.

Line management experience is essential.

Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload across your team.

Excellent communicator – written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently.

Ability to work under pressure.
