Role: Learning Support Assistant (SEN) Location: Farnborough and Aldershot campuses Hours: Full‑Time / Part‑Time options Pay: £13.75 per hour About the pupils and setting An expanding special needs school caters for children and young people aged 2 to 19 who all have complex learning difficulties, including but not limited to: Severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Language disorders, sensory impairments, physical disabilities The school provides a highly structured, supportive, multi‑disciplinary environment. There is a strong focus on communication, independence, emotional regulation, physical development, and personalised learning using specialist strategies (for example PECS, TEACCH, sensory integration etc.). Main Responsibilities Assist pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to access learning activities and support the implementation of Individual Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs). Support with personal care, mobility and physical needs as required. Help pupils manage sensory and emotional needs; support behaviour using positive behaviour strategies. Aid pupils’ communication development, using specialist tools, visual supports, augmentative communication where necessary.
