Job Description
The Finance Assistant will;
3. Process weekly purchase ledger payment runs and ad‑hoc payments
4. Monitor balances across approximately 40 current accounts (across four major banks) to ensure sufficient funds for upcoming payments
5. Complete monthly HMRC payments
6. Perform monthly agreement and reconciliation of group intercompany and control accounts
7. Carry out purchase ledger processing, including intercompany journals
8. Update and maintain the chart of accounts
9. Undertake various ad‑hoc accounting duties as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
10. Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
11. Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
12. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
13. Familiarity with financial regulations within the not-for-profit industry.
14. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
15. Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
