Your new company, Hays Accountancy & Finance, is recruiting a Finance Business Partner on behalf of a client supporting individuals and families living with disabilities, autism, and brain injuries. The role is crucial in ensuring organizational effectiveness, compliance with reporting and regulations, and supervising various finance functions. Key responsibilities include:
1. Contributing to Finance Improvement Plans
2. Assisting with grant applications and claims
3. Supporting grant and verification audits
4. Leading supplier contract reviews and tender processes
5. Preparing management accounts and variance reports
6. Overseeing budgeting and forecasting
7. Supporting project management
8. Ensuring statutory compliance (e.g., Companies House, Charity Commission)
9. Promoting GDPR and cybersecurity practices
10. Line management and staff training
11. Mentoring staff
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, or ACCA)
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance role within a large, diverse organization
* Experience in management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting
* Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems
Desirable:
* Experience with grant funding and claims
* Staff management and mentoring experience
