Bookkeeper/ Payroll Executive
Redditch- office based
£26,000- £29,000per annum depending on your previous skills and experience. Part time hours may be considered.
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or Payroll professional looking to join a friendly and growing accountancy practice in Redditch? We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team member to support our clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting duties.
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio, providing accurate bookkeeping and payroll services, and ensuring all deadlines are met efficiently. Typical tasks include:
1. Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
2. Managing client bookkeeping using cloud software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
3. VAT return preparation and submissions
4. Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining ledgers
5. Liaising with clients and HMRC on payroll and bookkeeping matters
The successful Bookkeeper and Payroller will have the following skills and experience:
6. Experienced in bookkeeping and payroll within an accountancy practice would be a distinct advantage.
7. Confident using cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks
8. Organised with great attention to detail
9. A good communicator who enjoys client interaction
10. AAT qualified or equivalent (qualified by experience will be considered)
