Leader
Therole:
As the Software Development Team Leader you willlead a team of skilled software developers fosteringa
culture of innovation collaboration and excellence.Helping take projects from conception to completionand
ensure Blackstar continues to deliver our best inmarket products andsoftware.
Tasks
The dutiesand responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Line management of the Software Team with responsibility forefficiency and output.
Managing the successfuldevelopment of scalable firmware and software using a structuredprocessdriven approach.
Plan the detailed Software Teamworkload and regularly communicate the milestone progress tothe
Project Lead Programme Manager andStakeholders.
Maintain best practices within the SoftwareTeam ensuring technical journals essential researchand
company QMS process are followed.
Leadershipand administration of the Sprint process for the SoftwareTeam.
Support the delivery of product firmware andsoftware within the Software Team from an initial
designbrief through to full production encompassing the testing andverification of the design.
Assisting with projectplanning scoping andproblemsolving
Requirements
RequiredKnowledge and Experience:
Degree in a technicaldiscipline.
Minimum 5 years experience within acommercial software environment.
o Experience of workingwith audio software JUCE based applications or embeddedfirmware
considered an advantage.
Strongunderstanding of software engineering principles.
Experience with Agile Scrum/Sprint planning principles.
Strong People Management skills with proven experience as a formalLine Manager.
Experience with project ownership andcoordination from conception to completion.
Methodicalwith a structured approach.
Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills building relationships with people at alllevels.
Ability to manage working time effectively andprioritise assignments appropriately.
Enthusiasticcommitted and dependable.
Guitar playing a musicalbackground or strong passion for music although not essential wouldalso
be considered anadvantage.

Office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday toFriday with a willingness to work extra hours as and
