An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations / Production Manager to oversee the daily running of a busy food production facility. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintaining high standards across production, packing, fulfilment and value-added product lines.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and technical teams to ensure operational efficiency, food safety compliance and consistent product quality.
Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day operations across production, packing and fulfilment
* Maintain high standards in yield optimisation and operational efficiency
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and regulatory requirements
* Manage production planning, labour allocation and workflow efficiency
* Maintain accurate traceability and production documentation
* Support recipe management, yield monitoring and production costing
* Train, lead and develop production teams
* Drive continuous improvement across production processes and standards
Qualifications
* Strong background in production planning and operations management
* Experience within an FSA-approved or SALSA-aligned environment
* Knowledge of retail and wholesale packing, labelling and traceability
* Experience using food safety and production management systems
* Strong leadership experience within a fast-paced production environment
* Good understanding of HACCP, CCPs and food safety legislation
* Excellent organisational and communication skills

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: UP TO £55,000 DOE
