This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing, optimising, and evolving the Datacore Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform - enabling the delivery of critical digital products that power our business. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations of the Datacore - implementing, maintaining, and enhancing the platform using the right tools to deliver against our business needs. You'll help shape our digital future optimising the infrastructure/applications and technology that make up the platform focusing on improving efficiency and consistency. As part of our Digital Engineering practice, you'll be embedded within a high-energy, fast-paced environment, collaborating with talented professionals across disciplines. You'll work closely with our wider engineering community teams, driving improvements, identifying opportunities for continuous service optimisation, and ensuring our Datacore capabilities keep pace with business needs. What You'll Be Doing As a Platform Engineer, working within our Operational Technology (DataCore) team you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining and enhancing our Datacore cloud infrastructure. You'll also: · Take ownership of risks and support robust risk management · Champion knowledge sharing and operational excellence · Support our Digital Engineering Centre for Enablement and Communities of Practice Key Skills and experience: · Experience of configuring and maintaining a Cloud platform e.g. Amazon Web Service, Azure (preferred) and Google Cloud Platform · Supporting DevOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD for pipelines and infrastructure-as-code · Proficient in an Infrastructure coding language (YAML, PowerShell, BICEP, JSON, Python) and tooling (Ansible/Terraform etc) · Experience in IIoT technologies such as MQTT brokers and Edge Computing · Experience in Containerisation such as Kubernetes and Docker · Recognised Microsoft certification or significant experience · Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and methodologies · Working Knowledge of Service Management processes, specifically Change, Incident, Event, Configuration and Problem Management Why Anglian Water?
