Position Overview
Role: Night Senior Carer
Location: Royley House, Lea View, Royton
Reports To: Manager and Deputy Manager
Contract Type: Full Time
Schedule: 33 Hours Per Week, 3 Evenings a Week (With Alternate Weekends) 8pm-8am
Salary: £14.30 per hour (up to £14.30 depending on experience)
Responsibilities
* Support people with all aspects of health, social and emotional well-being including personal care, mobility, medication, continence, nutrition and hydration, in line with their care plan; promoting independence at all times.
* Ensure residents appear well-kept in personal care, hygiene and clothing.
* Provide mental and physical stimulation by engaging residents in conversation, hobbies and activities.
* Demonstrate passion to help make a difference and work effectively as part of a team that respects each person’s dignity.
* Write, update, review and follow individual care plans, enhancing physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
* Act as liaison between the manager and care workers, reporting good practice and any issues, using clear communication.
* Build and maintain relationships with people with impaired understanding and their families through good communication skills.
* Complete all necessary records and routines accurately and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
Required Criteria
* Right to live and work in the UK.
* Kind, patient and compassionate nature.
* Good English, numeracy and writing skills.
* Good communication and listening skills.
* Social care qualification such as Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Desired Criteria
* Previous experience as a senior carer or team leader in an adult care setting.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate across departments.
