I’m currently working for a well-established Public Sector business of over 15 years, seeking a Commercial Manager to lead and implement the procurement strategy across the group. This growing, customer-driven organization offers a key role in delivering 'value for money' services to both new and existing clients.
The responsibilities include implementing procurement strategies, leading customer projects, overseeing contracts, managing tender processes, and negotiating extensions. You will lead a small team and collaborate closely with the Procurement & Contracts team. The ideal candidate will have Public Sector or Customer Service experience and be familiar with laws such as the Procurement Act.
The role is based in High Wycombe, requiring office presence twice a week.
Experience Requirements:
* Experience in Public Sector or Customer Service industries.
* Proven ability to lead procurement projects and manage tenders.
* Experience overseeing contracts and extensions.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, working with clients.
* Excellent financial skills with a passion for driving savings.
* Up-to-date knowledge of procurement legislation and financial regulations.
* Line management experience and team leadership skills.
* Membership of CIPS or willingness to obtain it.
* Strong IT and communication skills.
