We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Digital Technical Sales Specialist to support our ambitious Mission30 growth by driving the further digitalisation of our service solutions and offerings, both internally and towards our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record of generating leads and acquiring new clients through digital and automation product channels. You bring experience in implementing and selling digital/automation service solutions, processes, and workflows that support value streams for customers, and you collaborate closely with local Sales Teams across the EMEA region. A deep understanding of industrial processes and engineering environments is essential for this role.
1. Build & qualify pipeline: Partner with Frontline Sales to identify and qualify leads, dive into customer requirements, and shape tailored sales strategies informed by market intelligence.
2. Market & installed-base planning: Analyse the regional installed base, segment customers, and develop regional business plans; maintain territory plans and run regular status reviews and reports to stakeholders.
3. Solutioning & proposals: Define scopes/architectures and pricing; develop comprehensive, compliant proposals addressing technical, commercial, and legal aspects.
4. Deal execution: Support bid clarifications and contract negotiations to ensure a smooth and successful close.
5. Pilots & co-development: Work with GEA Digital Units and Center of Competencies to identify pilot customers, lead co-development projects, and scale proven solutions.
6. Customer engagement: Plan and deliver site visits, presentations, and demos; present solutions to customers and status updates to internal stakeholders.
7. Product expertise & enablement: Act as the regional LPT Digital Products Sales Specialist; champion digitisation via the GEA Academy; participate in Center of Competencies (Competence Centre) training and serve as a regional trainer for local Service Sales organisations.
8. Strategic relationship leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor and foster long-term relationships with a strong customer-centric, growth-mindset approach.
9. Cross-functional orchestration: Align with Center of Competencies, Product Management, Regional Service Heads, and Project Sales and Service teams to ensure process knowledge and customer access
What you will need to succeed:
10. Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of lead generation and new client acquisition through digital/automation product channels.
11. Analytical mindset by analysing the relevant installed base in the region utilizing existing tools and resources and developing regional business plans including market potential, customer segmentation, and execution of actions to grow digital/automation product sales.
12. Hands-on experience developing and implementing digital/automation service solutions, processes, and workflows that support customer value streams.
13. Deep understanding of industrial processes and engineering environments.
14. A strong collaborative mindset to partner with local Sales Teams across EMEA and global organisation.
15. Excellent communication and presentation skills
Your Profile / Qualifications
16. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Food Engineering
17. Profound business understanding with strong commercial mindset
18. Knowledge of B2B industries, preferably dairy and food processing
19. Sales expertise in drying & filtration and automation products, with strong negotiation skills at management level
20. Process knowledge and strong interest in digital products
21. Analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
22. Strong customer orientation and ability to act as a trusted advisor
23. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in international and culturally diverse teams
24. Adaptability to changing assignments and priorities
25. High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
