About the Buy to Let Mortgage Paraplanner Role
As a Mortgage Paraplanner, you will work closely with a team of expert mortgage brokers to manage cases from agreement in principle right through to completion. You’ll take ownership of documentation, lender submissions, stakeholder communication and proactive pipeline management, ensuring every case progresses efficiently, compliantly and effectively.
* Remote option: Only available to candidates with proven experience handling complex BTL/HMO/portfolio cases
* Office‑based path: If you are commutable to Southport, you can receive full in‑office training. Ideal for ambitious individuals with mortgage admin experience who want to specialise in Buy‑to‑Let.
Key Responsibilities
As a specialist Buy‑to‑Let Mortgage Paraplanner, you will be working across complex Buy‑to‑Let, HMO, semi‑commercial, high‑net‑worth and portfolio landlord cases, including:
* Assessing the validity of documents and organising them to ensure all required paperwork is in place to progress cases compliantly.
* Keying accurate information into lender systems and providing supporting documentation for lending decisions.
* Liaising with clients, lenders, underwriters, solicitors and estate agents to drive cases towards mortgage offer and completion.
* Helping brokers manage client expectations through proactive communication.
* Answering inbound client calls in a professional and confident manner.
* Additional duties may include: anticipating underwriter queries, maintaining detailed case notes, pre‑empting delays, escalating issues promptly and managing your pipeline with discipline.
Buy to Let Mortgage Paraplanner Package
* Salary: £29,000–£34,000 after probation
* On‑Target Earnings: Approx. £40,000 OTE
* Location: Remote (if sufficiently experienced) or office‑based in Southport
* Support: Full training, broker shadowing, and a structured development plan
* Progression: Genuine long‑term career growth into senior case management or specialist BTL roles
Skills & Experience
* Experience in mortgage administration or case management within a brokerage
* Excellent accuracy, organisation and documentation control
* Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels
* Experience of complex BTL, HMO, portfolio or semi‑commercial cases
* Knowledge of lender processes, underwriting logic and specialist BTL criteria
