We’re looking for a technical data and market strategy manager to join our team at Starbucks UK. This role will lead the strategic direction of market planning and location analytics, driving high‑impact decisions across the UK portfolio. The successful candidate will own the vision and strategy for market planning, oversee the development of advanced analytics frameworks, and guide partners through complex decision‑making processes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic oversight of the new store pipeline and ensuring alignment with long‑term business goals.
* Defining and leading the UK market planning strategy, integrating geospatial analytics, demographic trends, and commercial insights to identify optimal growth opportunities.
* Leading the development of sophisticated impact assessment tools to evaluate cannibalisation, market saturation, and competitive dynamics.
* Utilising data to develop comprehensive recommendations, with a particular focus on spatial datasets and mapping.
* Partnering closely with third‑party data providers and consultancy partners to ensure high‑quality, real‑time data sources that support dynamic market planning.
* Developing and presenting high‑impact reports and dashboards to senior leadership, tracking performance against strategic KPIs and influencing investment decisions.
* Overseeing site visit protocols and local market assessments to ensure strategic alignment and commercial viability.
* Acting as the primary strategic advisor for market planning to licensees, ensuring alignment and consistency across site selection and approval processes.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in market planning, real‑estate analysis, and using geospatial data sets in a fast‑paced retail or hospitality environment.
* Analytical and strategic thinking with expertise in spotting opportunities to add value and drive business growth.
* Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
