IR35: Outside IR35 Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis at their office in Warrington. Role Purpose of the EC&I Engineer To provide Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineering design and support services for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, specifications, and project objectives. Job Role Responsibilities of the EC&I Engineer Carry out site surveys, visits, and client meetings Prepare EC&I cable routing drawings and cable schedules Deliver EC&I engineering design and documentation Produce electrical cable diagrams and loop diagrams Develop EC&I installation scope of work documents Prepare EC&I datasheets and associated documentation Check and approve engineering design deliverables Prepare vendor packs for invitation to tender and liaise with vendors Conduct technical evaluations of estimates and supplier bids Coordinate with other disciplines (process, piping, mechanical, civil/structural) to align design requirements Provide technical assistance for equipment specifications and bid compliance Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications of the EC&I Engineer Minimum HNC in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering (Degree preferred) Proven experience in EC&I design, calculations, and technical problem-solving Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to specification, within budget and timescales Experience representing EC&I discipline at client and project meetings Working knowledge of ATEX Directives for electrical equipment in hazardous areas (beneficial) Experience with distribution and motor control systems (desirable) Familiarity with Pro/ENGINEER software (advantageous) Company Information At First Recruitment Group, we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
