North West - Specification Sales

THE ROLE: Working within the North West area, you will spend your time identifying and winning projects with M&E Consultants. You will ensure the company remains specified as you support the delivery of those lighting projects with M&E Contractors in your region.

You will be selling a range of lighting products and lighting controls which can be stand alone or part of an integrated system. Candidates with a technical bias, ability to interpret technical plans and drawings, and to communicate with design and project engineers will have an advantage.

You will be looking to secure and manage projects within the Commercial Industrial and Public Sectors and aim to win new business in your region. Working as part of a close knit and experienced team, you will represent a profitable and growing company. The position will require you to demonstrate your understanding of product presentations, tendering, and project management as well as strong relationship building at all levels of the sales cycle.

Key to success in this role is a proven track record of consultative selling within lighting and strong networking, relationship building and service delivery. Candidates need to be driven to enlist clients, win new projects, and gain market share in this region.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

·2 years or more working in field sales within specification lighting or controls

·Understanding of M&E consultants & Contractors - could have sold to them or worked for them in a commercial or technical role.

·Ability to manage a pipeline of projects and long sales cycle.

·A consultative, driven, and professional salesperson with good attention to detail

·Understanding of electrical or technical drawings/technical aptitude is desirable but not essential.

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 basic salary, plus £10K OTE (uncapped), company car or car allowance, 25 days holiday
