About the role
We’re seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join our high-performing team in the UK & Ireland Packaging Division. The role involves managing engineering and technical aspects of design, execution, and commissioning of significant change programs and continuous improvement projects, ensuring delivery within scope, standards, budget, and timelines.
You will support the Head of Engineering and the UK&I Senior Leadership Team in delivering projects that drive operational improvements and efficiencies, aligning with industry best practices.
Responsibilities include ensuring robust technical designs, accurate cost estimation, managing project workstreams, technical specifications, tendering, supplier selection, planning, and daily project activities. Data analysis will be used to support project success.
You will work with Project Managers to monitor critical activities, escalate issues, conduct risk analyses, involve stakeholders, and develop mitigation plans. All investments will align with Group Policies, with post-installation assessments conducted to verify outcomes.
Location
This position offers remote working with UK-wide travel required.
About you
* Formal training in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Design, Electrical, Civil, Systems)
* Experience managing significant organizational change and process improvements
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders, approval processes, complex technical solutions, and multiple contractors/suppliers
* Skilled in managing multiple projects on time and within budget
* Strong data analysis skills supporting business decisions
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and motivational skills
