As an advocate for Special Educational Needs (SEN), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that each child is equipped to thrive and access diverse opportunities within a nurturing and secure environment. Your role will involve crafting curriculum-aligned lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student and contributing to the overall daily operations of the school. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide an outstanding learning journey and adapt your delivery to meet the needs of the individual young people's Plan, prepare, evaluate and review learning programmes to make sure they not only reflect sound practice but enable physical, emotional, social, cultural and moral development in equal measure Teach both individual pupils and small groups, reviewing lessons, learning styles and teaching approach as you go along - all in accordance with school policy Review curriculum and school activities to ensure they play a vital part in our young people's development Establish the kind of relationships that build confidence, trust, understanding and mutual respect as the young people navigate through the years Be a true role model in everything that you do Qualifications: Recognized teaching qualification, with experience in Special Educational Needs preferred. Profound understanding of ASD and SEMH, and strategies for adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Strong organisational skills to manage varied tasks and lesson planning effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
