Job Description
We are seeking a Support Worker to provide administrative support across various projects within our organization. Responsibilities include:
* Carrying out administrative tasks to support project and service delivery
* Managing correspondence, including post, typing, scanning, copying, and filing
* Engaging with clients via phone to book appointments, conduct triage assessments, and evaluate service outcomes
* Assisting with confidential financial and HR data input
* Communicating with clients, staff, volunteers, and external organizations through email, phone, webchat, social media, and other digital channels
* Supporting the Communications Officer in creating publicity materials and managing social media content
* Supporting and line managing volunteer support workers, including supervision and appraisals
* Participating in training to maintain skills and knowledge
* Attending meetings and taking minutes
* Supporting reception duties at venues and carrying out fire marshal and first aid duties
* Ensuring compliance with Data Protection and mandatory training requirements
* Adhering to Citizens Advice Wirral’s systems, procedures, and policies
* Promoting health and safety and safeguarding procedures
* Participating in out-of-hours events and fundraising activities
* Performing additional tasks as needed to ensure effective service delivery
Person Specification
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail in administrative tasks
* Proficiency with digital systems, including Google Suite
* Numeracy skills
* Ability to work independently from a brief
* Experience working with volunteers and service users
* Understanding of Citizens Advice Wirral’s aims and principles, with a commitment to equity and diversity
Desirable:
* Experience with social media platforms
* Current First Aid at Work Certificate
