POSITION: VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: VISUAL MERCHANDISING
BASED: GLASGOW
Our VM Managers manage, support, and deliver the BYOMA Global Visual Merchandising strategy by working with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event design, and ensuring consistency of brand messaging across all retailer channels. Ultimately, our VM team is responsible for delivering innovative retail experiences for our consumers that align with our brand strategy and business goals across all physical distribution channels globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage and maintain all Visual Merchandising execution and store expression according to brand guidelines, collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders on POS materials for all points of distribution.
* Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for all VM projects.
* Manage, update, and maintain the VM Master List across all projects. Flag risks and propose solutions.
* Align all retailer reset/rebuild updates and promos with the VM master calendar, ensuring timely delivery.
* Create Visual Merchandising Design briefs based on input from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
* Create planograms and rationalize shelf productivity with the Sales team, considering POS manufacture, materials, and lead times.
* Work with Design to finalize proposals for review.
* Facilitate VM and Design meetings, ensuring all information is captured.
* Collaborate with Retail Partners and attend meetings as needed.
* Raise POs, track and file costs, and maintain the VM budget and tracker.
* Negotiate with suppliers to deliver VM solutions, attend supplier meetings.
* Coordinate VM briefs to suppliers, ensuring compliance with design specifications, timelines, and budgets.
* Communicate with suppliers for SNAGs, damaged POS replacements, ensuring brand standards.
* Coordinate VM review sessions with Sales & Management.
* Track consumer/sales data, ROI, and market intelligence.
* Maintain visual merchandising consistency and POS quality across all retail channels and events.
* Create and update the Visual Merchandising database.
* Research and monitor trends in beauty, retail tech, and design; create VM Trend Reports.
* Participate in special projects, events, and non-sellable item purchasing as needed.
* Assist in creating Visual Merchandising strategies and guidelines.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
* Minimum 5 years in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty or FMCG.
* Degree in Design: Architecture, Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of technical aspects and working with external suppliers.
* Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
* Excellent project management skills, including creating CPAs, timelines, and risk management.
* Confident in creating and presenting VM presentations to stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and design programs like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
* Organized, able to multitask, and prioritize effectively.
* Resilient under pressure, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop relationships internally and externally.
* Creative thinker, willing to challenge the status quo.
