An established and respected planning consultancy is looking to appoint a skilled Town Planner with a strong interest or background in rural planning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on countryside-focused projects and wants to make a tangible impact on rural communities and landscapes.
The Role:
The successful candidate will work on a varied portfolio of projects, primarily focused on rural planning matters such as agricultural developments, rural housing, equestrian uses, diversification schemes, and planning in sensitive landscapes. You will provide expert planning advice to a mix of private clients, landowners, and rural businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing rural and countryside planning applications and appeals
Conducting site appraisals and feasibility assessments
Advising clients on planning strategies and rural policy interpretation
Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documents
Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and community groups
Keeping up to date with planning legislation, particularly relating to rural policyThe ideal Town Planner will:
Be RTPI-accredited degree and working toward or already MRTPI chartered
Have experience or demonstrable interest in rural planning
Have strong report writing and communication skills
Be self-motivated and able to manage a varied caseload
Have fa full UK driving licence (site visits required)Benefits:
