Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant – Ipswich (5-Month Contract) Start: ASAP | Duration: 5 months | Office-based Pure are currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a dynamic and growing business based in Ipswich, on a temporary 5-month contract. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the purchase ledger, supporting accurate and timely invoice processing, supplier payments, and account management. You’ll report directly to the Financial Controller and play a key role in the smooth running of our finance operations. Key Responsibilities: Process and code purchase invoices accurately into the finance system Resolve internal invoice and purchase order queries Manage and reconcile supplier accounts and statements Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs Ensure payments are made in line with supplier terms Support the production of monthly aged payables reports Assist with month-end processes and financial reporting What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a finance role with a focus on purchase ledger Strong systems knowledge, including MS Office Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills Clear communication and a collaborative approach A proactive attitude and openness to process improvements and new systems Apply today to join a thriving team and make a real impact.
