Legal Secretary – Residential Conveyancing Dundee Full Time | Permanent Competitive salary An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established and growing Residential Conveyancing team within a respected law firm. Based in Dundee, this role offers the chance to be part of a collaborative, high-performing team supporting a busy and varied conveyancing practice. The firm is known for delivering high-quality legal, property and financial services, with a strong focus on client care and long-term relationships. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive secretarial support to residential conveyancing solicitors and paralegals, playing a key part in ensuring transactions progress smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be involved in a wide range of conveyancing administration, using your organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence with systems to support both clients and colleagues. Responsibilities include managing AML documentation, preparing applications for registration, drafting and processing standard securities, dispositions, discharges and LBTT documentation, and handling advance notices. You’ll also manage searches, redemption statements, lender updates, and post-settlement tasks, while keeping accurate records and ensuring key deadlines are met. Alongside this, you’ll handle dictation and general correspondence, answer incoming calls, provide updates to clients, assist with opening new files, support diary management, and organise meetings. The role requires regular use of a case management system and close collaboration with the wider team. You’ll have previous experience in a legal secretarial role, ideally within residential conveyancing, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential, as is confidence using legal systems and managing multiple priorities.
