The post holder will work as a response practitioner and will be responsible for assessing and delivering emergency medical care to our population within HMP Peterborough. The successful candidate will also be expected to attend non-urgent calls on the wing(s) to evaluate patients and determine their medical needs. You will be familiar with using onboard equipment to support the delivery of care, including defibrillation and resuscitation.
The post holder will ensure that the delivery of care is practice-based and aligns with research to bring high-quality care to patients in HMP Peterborough, in accordance with local and national policies.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will undertake various duties, including screening patients in reception and on the wings, triaging patients, and holding secondary screening clinics.
You will be an integral part of the team, undertaking medication rounds, dispensing controlled medication, and managing court returns and releases.

* RGN NMC Registrant
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
* Degree in Paramedic Science
* Evidence of continued learning
* Knowledge of NICE Guidelines
* Knowledge of research and audit processes

* Post-registration clinical experience
* Advanced clinical practice skills
* Effective negotiation skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Clear documentation skills
* Experience in advanced life support
* Experience in conducting audits and data interpretation
