Hourly Paid Lecturer- Fashion (Multiple Specialisms)

A flat rate of £20.29 per hour will be paid for completing one of the following elements of the schedule: teaching, preparation and marking.

£50.72 per direct teaching hour.

The number of hours required and the days of the week may vary.


About the Role

Situated within The Nottingham School of Art & Design, the Department of Fashion continues to innovate and refine its curriculum to lead and inspire within this dynamic, fast‑paced industry, we are seeking specialist practitioners to join us as Hourly‑Paid Lecturers. Your professional expertise will play a key role in enhancing the student experience, strengthening our collective skills, and ensuring we remain at the forefront of emerging trends, technologies, and creative practices.

We are particularly interested in specialists with knowledge and skills in:

* Product Technology
* Biomaterials
* Sustainable Fashion Strategies
* Shima Seiki / Stoll Programming
* Clo3D / 3D Digital Fashion
* Digital skills relating to AI in fashion (e.g. market research, AI‑driven insights, data analytics)
* Projection Mapping
* Space & Visual Merchandising
* Styling and Art Direction
* Pattern Cutting

As an Hourly‑Paid Lecturer, you will work alongside our academic teams and specialist technicians to contribute to the ongoing development of our courses. You will deliver high‑quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students, sharing your industry insight and supporting learners to grow their skills and confidence.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with a passion for inspiring, mentoring, and empowering a diverse cohort of emerging creatives.
