Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Building Surveyor for a national housing association. This is a permanent position, which is home based, covering a patch across the West Midlands. The salary for this position is £46,000 + £5,000 car allowance, and mileage for any travel can be claimed immediately from home to site.
The role:
1. Plan and deliver maintenance programmes for planned and cyclical works, delivering projects from inception to completion
2. Prepare specifications of schedules of works for planned improvements and corrective works in line with CDM regulations
3. Establish and maintain successful relationships with contractors, ensuring works are delivered to a high standard and provide value-for-money
4. Conduct stock condition surveys, using data to inform planned maintenance programmes
What you need:
5. Experienced Building Surveyor in a social housing environment
6. Minimum HNC/HND in a building related discipline
7. Strong understanding of CDM regulations and health and safety
8. Strong knowledge of building maintenance and construction processes
