This is a blended role in Cheltenham, combining leadership duties with direct care, supporting an individual living in their own home who has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, FND, and Gastroparesis. The person has interests in rehoming vintage treasures, creative projects, and gardening, and your leadership will help them enjoy life with safe, consistent, person-centred care.
Team Leader Supported Living | Cheltenham
36 hours per week | Permanent | Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
Responsibilities
* Leadership & Management (12 hours per week, off rota): lead and supervise a team of support workers, provide guidance, coaching, and feedback.
* Manage staff performance, training compliance, and professional development.
* Oversee rotas, care plans, risk assessments, and accurate record keeping.
* Uphold CQC standards and organisational policies, ensuring safe and compliant practice.
* Run regular team meetings, lead debriefs after incidents, and escalate to CCMs when required.
* Direct Support (24 hours per week, on rota): work alongside your team to deliver safe, personalised support.
* Promote and enable enriching activities that reflect individual interests and goals.
* Model best practice and embed a strong person-centred culture in daily care.
* Build positive relationships with the individual and their family to support continuity of care.
About You
* Previous leadership experience within health and social care.
* Strong knowledge of Complex Care, supporting behaviours perceived as challenging, and mental health support.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to make decisions and manage risk.
* Based locally in Penzance (or nearby), with a full UK driving licence.
