What we’re looking for
Are you a Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC who is looking for a new and varied role or a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician due to qualify and register with the GPhC in 2025?
Responsibilities
* Join the Aseptic Dispensing Unit to deliver the aseptic service as an active member of the Pharmacy Technician team.
* Participate in all areas of the product journey from generation of worksheets and labels, the accurate and safe preparation of aseptic products within clean room facilities through to stock management.
* Contribute to continuous improvements and developments to meet audit standards.
* Work under pressure with excellent motivational and time management skills.
Training and progression
* Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC or Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician due to qualify and register with the GPhC in 2025.
* If the successful applicant does not meet minimum criteria for a band 5, they will be placed on the band 4 scale and supported through training to progress to band 5.
* The applicant would be expected to complete the PACT (Pharmacy Aseptic Checking Technician) qualification.
* Pre-Registration Trainee and those new to aseptic experience will be given time, training and resources to gain the background knowledge required for this specialist area before moving on to master the art of aseptic technique and the other varied roles included as part of this post.
Working hours
Hours of work are: 37 hours per week. Applications are welcomed from Pharmacy Technicians looking for flexible working, job share and part time hours.
