About the Role
The Travel Consultant, known internally as a Global Connection Officer (GCO), is a sales catalyst, relationship developer, service zealot, organizational wizard, traveller, trainer, problem solver, and company culture enthusiast all rolled into one!

Your mission as a GCO if you choose it, is to connect with our travellers and agency partners; recommending and selling them the right trips based on their unique needs.
Note, this role will be based in our London office on a hybrid basis. It is an integral part of our community and we are looking for candidates who are excited to get involved in fostering an exceptional in-office culture! As a GCO, you will work on a rotation where occasional weekend work is required.
What you'll be doing:
Mission:
1. Reach monthly sales targets while driving exceptional customer service KPIs
2. Work with both speed and efficiency while consistently displaying compassion and care in every interaction
3. Handle any booking issues calmly and with empathy
4. Differentiate your service to provide a uniquely G experience for our travellers
How your Mission is Achieved:
5. Connect with our prospective travellers both over the phone and via email
6. Ask the right questions to ascertain the needs of each unique traveller
7. Recommend and sell the right trip for the traveller based on their needs including any extra services that may enhance their experience.
8. Ensure the use of correct booking processes and procedures to minimise risk and reduce error rates
9. Act at all times with the purpose of providing a life changing experience
10. Be an integral part of G Adventures amazing company culture and live by the G Adventures Core values.
11. Make meaningful connections with both the global team, but also your travellers.
Skills & Experience
12. Minimum 1 year front-line sales experience, motivated by revenue targets and service KPIs
13. A love of sales and travel
14. Experience using a GDS system, preferable but not necessary
15. Superior selling skills & exceptional customer service skills are required
16. Excellent verbal & written communication skills
17. Problem solving/complaint resolution skills
18. Extensive geographical knowledge & travel experience
19. Flexible and energetic, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
20. Ability to work varying shifts and weekends as required
21. Ability to navigate and use a variety of computer systems confidently with speed and efficiency
22. Understanding of, and identification with, G Adventures’ Core Values
