Job Description:
As an EC&I Technician at a leading waste to energy facility, you will be responsible for executing electrical, control system, and instrumentation maintenance across all process, building, and site systems. This role requires an EC&I Technician with a recognized apprenticeship and extensive experience in heavy industrial environments.
This innovative company operates 30 sites globally and is commissioning a new state-of-the-art site in Essex with a billion-pound investment. You will be part of a team responsible for launching and maintaining this site, offering a technically challenging and rewarding role.
Your key responsibilities as EC&I Technician include:
* Fault finding, planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance on EC&I assets to maximize plant availability, including sensors, control systems, DCS, PLCs, and electrical equipment.
* Assisting during major maintenance, shutdowns, and outages to ensure maximum plant efficiency.
* Collaborating with other technicians to diagnose faults and suggest equipment upgrades.
* Maintaining accurate records using the site CMMS.
* Supervising and directing on-site contractors when required.
Your Profile:
* NVQ (Level 3 preferred), HNC, or HND with significant heavy industry experience.
* Proven maintenance experience in complex operational environments such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Industrial Processes.
* Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems and PLCs.
* Experience with cranes and heavy lifting (desirable).
