We are looking for motivated, organised and customer focused Housing Management Officers to join Fife Council’s Short Term Let Licensing Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement of short term let licensing within Fife.
You will work in a small team assessing licence applications, responding to enquiries and providing guidance to hosts and operators. The roles offer blended working combining home and office-based work.
The Person
Will require to:
1. have experience of dealing with complex situations relating to customer/stakeholder experiences of improvement, management and delivery of Housing Services
2. be educated to SCQF level 5 which includes National 5 or SVQ level 2 in Housing or equivalent or Standard Grades at Credit level or equivalent.
3. have experience of working with the range of supports available to private owners, landlords, tenants and other stakeholders.
4. provide a regular and effective service and have experience of working to strict deadlines.
have experience of assessing and appraising complex information, problems or situations and have a good knowledge and understanding of housing legislation.
5. confirm registration with regulatory body or PVG scheme membership
6. for communication skills, focus on type of skills -persuading, advising, listening. Don’t use ‘excellent’ or ‘good’
