Behaviour Support Worker - Oldham:
Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced behaviour support worker to join a large provision in the Oldham area. You will be supporting pupils aged 4-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 mentoring and pastoral support to students
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and other staff members
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Using de-escalation and positive reinforcement techniques to support progress
Position Details:
- Position: Behaviour Support Worker

- Type of Work: Temporary
- Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time only
- Minimum Rate of Pay: £105 per day, depending on experience
- Start date: Sept 2025
- End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in schools/youth work settings)
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Team Teach training is highly desirable
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
