Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join us. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and cooking processes run smoothly. Responsibilities
* Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
* preparing breakfasts and light lunches on working days
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
* Support chefs and cooks in cooking and plating dishes as required.
* Help with the serving of meals to customers or guests during events or busy service periods.
* Manage inventory by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Experience with meal preparation and cooking techniques will be advantageous.
* A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are highly valued.
