JOB TITLE: Legal Executive - Probate
LOCATION: Berkshire (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days from home)
SALARY: £35K- £60K (DOE)
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Legal Executive with a minimum of one year’s Private Client / Probate experience to help deliver modern, efficient and empathetic probate and estate administration services. Managing your own caseload of probate matters, your role will include:
* Managing a varied caseload of probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to distribution.
* Providing expert legal advice on probate, inheritance tax and private client matters.
* Drafting and reviewing legal documents including IHT forms, grant applications and estate accounts.
* Ensuring compliance with probate law, SRA regulations and internal governance standards.
* Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues and paralegals.
ABOUT YOU
* Legal Counsel / Legal Executive / Lawyer with a minimum of one year’s experience in probate or private client law.
* Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is excited by the future of legal services.
* A confident communicator who can support clients through emotionally sensitive situations with empathy and clarity.
* Proven experience managing end‑to‑end probate and estate administration cases.
* Ability to handle complex or high‑value estates with minimal supervision.
