Job Description
Reporting to the Rotating Equipment Lead, the AGUP Phase 2 – CPF2 Mechanical Package Engineer is responsible for client-side oversight of rotating equipment and package engineering during EPSCC phases, including:
* Review and monitoring of contractor engineering for pumps, compressors, and package units to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, schedule, cost, and HSE requirements.
* Ensure rotating equipment is correctly specified, procured, tested, and installed in line with contractual and project requirements.
* Review contractor and vendor technical documents, bid evaluations, and purchase order recommendations.
* Participate in vendor kick-off meetings, technical reviews, FATs, and site/workshop visits as required.
* Coordinate with other disciplines, Operations, Quality, and Technical Authorities to ensure technical consistency, operability, and maintainability.
* Support project reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, model reviews), respond to technical queries, concessions, and deviations, and support commissioning activities.
* Monitor progress of engineering deliverables, identify technical risks, and report concerns proactively.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
* Minimum 15 years’ experience in rotating equipment and packages engineering in large oil & gas projects.
* At least 5 years in a senior client-side role, overseeing rotating equipment engineering during detailed design and execution phases.
* Strong knowledge of rotating equipment standards, vendor coordination, and package engineering.
* Proven ability to manage technical interfaces, resolve complex engineering issues, and ensure quality delivery.
* Fluent in English; strong communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel internationally to contractors’ and vendors’ premises when required.
