About the role
You will plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of secondary-aged pupils, many of whom have complex needs and trauma backgrounds. A holistic, therapeutic approach is central to this role, supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Key responsibilities
Deliver creative, inclusive, and differentiated lessons
Use assessment to track progress and adapt teaching strategies
Support pupils using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff
What we’re looking for
QTS or QTLS
Experience teaching in a secondary setting
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour
Strong understanding of behaviour management and adaptive teaching
Resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners
