As part of our Urgent and Emergency Care Update Programme, we have a unique opportunity for a senior pharmacist to lead the implementation of a new electronic prescribing solution within our Emergency Department.
The post offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and develop leadership and specialist informatics skills. No prior informatics experience is required, as full training will be provided by our experienced clinical informatics team.
The role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead the implementation of a new electronic prescribing system to support the transformation of clinical services in the emergency department.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and digital teams.
3. Ensure the electronic prescribing system is developed in line with clinical digital safety standards.
4. Provide training and onboarding support for pharmacy teams, prescribers, and administrative staff.
5. Participate in supplier user groups and collaborate with other organisations.
6. Develop prescribing reports.
7. Provide clinical pharmacy services to the Emergency Department.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively under pressure both independently and as part of a team.
