Admin Assistant
Salary: A GBP 24,242.40 to A GBP 26,354.40 pro rata p.a.
Location: Plymouth
Hours: 20 hours a week.

We are looking for a dynamic and organised Admin Assistant to join our team to provide ESOL support to our customers on our Restart programme.
This role involves conducting one:on:one and group sessions tailored to the individual needs of ESOL learners, with a focus on enhancing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
This position requires a balance of organisational skills and direct engagement with individuals, providing a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to support individuals in their language development journey.
In addition to this there is an expectation to assist with general office duties.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective teaching strategies tailored to individual and group needs.
* Monitor and assess the progress of ESOL customers, providing feedback and guidance.
* Encourage group participation, foster peer:to:peer learning, and ensure that all customers feel comfortable speaking and practicing English.
* Support ESOL customers with employability and right to work needs
* Tailor sessions to the specific needs and learning levels of individual customers.
* Perform general office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
* Assist in organising and scheduling meetings, appointments, and events
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to ESOL sessions and administrative activities.
* Support the team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative role is essential, preferably within an educational or ESOL setting.
* Experience conducting one:on:one or group teaching/tutoring sessions is preferred, especially in language instruction.
* Experience working with diverse, multicultural populations is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with learners of different backgrounds and levels of language proficiency.
* A collaborative and team:oriented attitude, with the ability to take initiative.
