We are working with an established manufacturing company in the Sittingbourne area who are looking to resource for an Accounts Assistant on a part-time basis for maternity cover, up to February 2026. Working 15 hours per week, ideally over 2-3 days, but there is flexibility for the successful candidates. The hourly rate is £12.50.
The role:
* Manage the Purchase Ledger and prepare supplier payments
* Post bank transactions
* Ensure all remittance advices are emailed to suppliers
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Liaise with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries
About you:
* Experience of working in a Finance department
* Ability to complete purchase ledger functions including posting invoices/bank recs
* IT literate including MS Office, ideally Sage (not essential)
* Proven ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment with high performance expectations
* Ability to learn quickly and be willing to take instruction whilst acting autonomously
* Integrity to handle sensitive and confidential data
* Numeracy and accuracy, with excellent attention to detail
* Maintain excellent professional relationships with clients and suppliers
