Holderness Day Service currently have a vacancy for a Day Services Officer within Victoria Avenue Day Centre in Withernsea.
Holderness day services offer a range of multi disaplinary day time activities including social, leisure educational, across the local community. We support vulnerable people over the age of 18 years providing services for individuals who have a learning disability, autism, physical disabilities, profound and complex needs and also those with needs around age related physical difficulty and memory impairment.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with person centred values who is able to offer good organisational, communication skills in addition to having good recording skills. You will have previous experience of working in a team within a caring environment. You will be able to plan and lead the staff team in facilitating group activities and have a working knowledge of risk assesments and safe systems of work. Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR and safeguarding. Part of the duties will include responsibility of medication, delegation of daily duties for staff including support with personal care as required. You must have skills in record keeping, report writing both written and electronically.
You will have a good understanding of current relevant legislation and policy and procedural requirements for our service .
Hours are worked over 5 days Monday to Friday.
