Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: GBP29,000 : GBP42,000 per annum, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out bird surveys across a variety of habitats, including breeding, wintering, and migratory species.
* Prepare detailed reports and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Habitat Management Plans.
* Provide practical advice on bird mitigation and conservation in line with UK wildlife legislation.
* Work collaboratively with other ecologists and support project delivery.
Requirements
* Experience in ornithological fieldwork and survey techniques.
* Strong knowledge of UK bird species, ecology, and relevant legislation.
* Experience producing professional ecological reports.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Relevant degree in ecology, environmental science, or related field.
Desirable
* Membership of professional bodies such as CIEEM or BTO.
* Experience with GIS mapping and ecological data analysis.
