We are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Clinical Educator to join the Children’s Outpatients team at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our nursing team on a part‑time basis, playing a key role in supporting education, learning, and professional development within a busy outpatient service.
Alongside clinical educator responsibilities, the successful candidate is expected to lead Team Outpatients in a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse clinical shift at least once a week.
We are seeking a candidate with substantial post‑registration experience, evidence of teaching or educational involvement, and a portfolio demonstrating achievements in clinical practice and/or education.
The post holder will be able to work independently and will provide high quality educational support to our registered and non‑registered workforce, including new starters.
You will be committed to improving quality of care and patient experience. The role is challenging and interesting, offering the opportunity to expand and develop your own knowledge and skills within a supportive team.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead Team Outpatients in a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse clinical shift at least once a week.
* Uphold mandatory training and ensure staff have the clinical skills they need to ensure patient safety.
* Support staff with continuous professional development and oversee staff appraisals and revalidations.
* Collaborate closely with the ward manager to assist in quality improvement initiatives.
* Provide high quality educational support to registered and non‑registered workforce, including new starters.
