Job Title: Junior/Intermediate Software Engineer
Salary: £38,000-£45,000

Work Model: Office Based for 6 months’ probation – Then 1 day WFH per week.

Position Overview:
They are seeking a highly motivated Junior/Intermediate Software Engineer to join their team in Swindon. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of software solutions that drive efficiency, enhance user experience, and support the growth of our product lines. This role will be project-based, collaborating closely with mechanical and project engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications for appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturing processes.
* Work closely with mechanical and project engineers to integrate software solutions with hardware systems.
* Assist in the implementation of software solutions to optimise manufacturing operations, including process automation and quality control systems.
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and programming languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScript.
* Experience with Linux-based systems.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
* Familiarity of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Advantageous Skills:
* Experience with embedded systems development and IoT technologies.
* Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
* Understanding of software testing techniques and frameworks.
