The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally respected manufacturer in a key growth area – industrial automation. As an Area Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing business across the Yorkshire & North East area of the UK selling a range of industrial automotive products & solutions. 80% of your role will be in front of the end users at the application end of the spectrum, driving demand and spotting opportunity. The other 20% will be working closely with core distribution partners, upskilling their knowledge on your offering, working on business reviews, and supporting them in being a force multiplier for you on the ground.
Your market focus will be on the OEMs, machine builders, and panel builders who have a need for your offering. This is a field based sales position whereby activity on the ground is key and you will be travelling regularly. There is opportunity for international travel to train in Germany also from time to time. The role is focussed on growth within a host of areas, specifically power, data centers, and the rail sector.
Candidate Requirements:
* Field sales experience in an industrial or electrical field
* Background in selling to end users and pushing through distribution channels
* A desire to learn, engage in self development, and a growth mindset
* Comfortable with lots of travel across territory
The Package for Automation Sales Engineer – South:
* £50,000 – 60,000 basic salary DOE
* 10-15% annual bonus
* Tesla company car or car allowance
* 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
