Summary
Reporting to the Sales Director you will develop an effective first line sales team, emphasising “Challenger” and business acquisition capabilities.
Developing team proficiency in the procedures, pathology, and products of the surgical area as well as developing team capabilities to drive business across multiple clinical and economic stakeholders.
Handling regional resources in CAPEX investment, Medical Education and Samples / Demo spend, you will hold accountability for profitability targets & objective setting specific to geography ownership of regional pipeline, aligned to franchise strategy including reporting on monthly sales director updates.
1. Mentoring and developing team, including performance management
2. Prioritising the regional team and ensuring accountability of team's pipeline actions
3. Responsible for completing quarterly business reviews with Account Managers and Commercial Managers
4. Hosting weekly regional plan update calls and overview of Link360 engagement
5. Regional KOL management and advocacy development
6. Asset management/return on investment including coordination with partners
7. Support monthly forecasting and investment meetings, including SD/BUD reporting
Requirements:
8. Meet sales and profit targets on portfolio products across a specified region
9. Actively lead and deliver principal commercial deals and high value pipeline business, through strong analysis, account strategy development, profitable commercial deal development and negotiation with multiple partners
10. Effectively handle Capital Investment Resources (systems, sets etc.) on region to ensure company assets deliver maximum returns
11. Take ownership for all aspects of leading, coaching and running the regional sales team, to build capabilities in the principal requirements of the role, utilising agreed systems e.g. My Career, Development plans, Performance metrics etc
12. Build an industry leading regional team with capabilities to sell at all appropriate levels by utilising leading sales practices
13. Product, procedure and pathology knowledge as well as selling and negotiation skills (such as Challenger Selling and other approaches)
14. An in-depth knowledge of all local contracts and tenders, working closely with the Commercial Team, to ensure profitable deals and business share growth
15. Develop strong customer relationships and network with key partners (both clinical / KOL and economic) that will be used to develop local and national opportunities
