Senior EHO/Graduate EHO (Environmental Protection)
Band 12 £40,476 - £43,693 per annum (pay award pending) plus a Market Forces Supplement of £3,500 from 1June2025-30June2026, to be paid July 2026 (pro‑ro‑a and paid for months completed in post).
(Graduate EHOs will be appointed on Band 11 £37,035 - £39,513).
Hours per week: 37 (Part‑time / Job share applications will be considered).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated and suitably qualified Senior Environmental Health Officer/Graduate to work within our busy Environmental Protection team.
The Environmental Protection team are responsible for delivering statutory functions including the investigation and enforcement of environmental protection, whilst supporting the broader functions of the Public Protection Service including Air Quality, Licensing, Planning and Environmental Permitting. We are particularly interested in candidates who have considerable knowledge in these fields and who have proven skills and experience. There may be some requirement to work across other environmental health disciplines. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate recent enforcement experience.
You will possess a relevant qualification in Environmental Health to degree standard or equivalent and be a registered Environmental Health Practitioner holding an EHRB certificate of registration or equivalent, or be working towards Chartered Status with preferably significant post qualification experience and relevant CPD.
If you have the relevant qualifications and the ability to provide sound, reasonable judgement particularly while working under pressure we would welcome an application from you.
